Poltrona Frau

Plot

A design piece commonly used throughout the 1950s. the room divider is flexible and practical, yet equally elegant and sophisticated.

During this time of blended living and working environments, Plot offers a stylish solution for the division of domestic spaces, adding a personal and stylish touch to all rooms in which it is used. The structure is deliberately minimalist, consisting of a simple frame that showcases the central panels. Plot’s most distinctive detail is its geometrical pattern, created using woven leather strips. In the Round panels, this weaving creates circular shapes, whilst the Square panels take a more angular nature, as the name suggests. The beauty of Poltrona Frau’s most iconic material is conveyed in full by the intricate weave, sophisticated colour combinations, and the virtuosity of the horizontal and vertical intersections which create motifs of varying density. The structure consists of aluminum tubing veneered with moka ash finish. The vertical and horizontal tubes are connected with metal joints in a matt brass finish. The conical caps at the bottom, also in metal, are painted. The woven strips hooked to the metal tubes are in Pelle Frau SC leather with pre-established colour combinations. The possible colour combinations between the vertical and horizontal bands underline the very best of the new Poltrona Frau ColorSphere schemes with tone-on-tone or contrasting effects that inspire endless admiration.
